reviseddoubleassaultposterIn a clash for the vacant WBO junior feath­er­weight cham­pi­onship, Wil­fre­do Vazquez, Jr. (18−0−1, 15 KOs) scored an impres­sive fourth round KO over pre­vi­ous­ly unbeat­en for­mer WBO super fly­weight cham­pi­on Mar­vin Son­sona (14−1−1, 12 KOs) on Sat­ur­day night at the Col­iseo Ruben Rodriguez in Baya­mon, Puer­to Rico. Vazquez Jr., son of Puer­to Rican ring great Wil­fre­do Vazquez, took over the fight in round two and bat­tered the 19-year-old for­mer 115lb cham­pi­on who had moved up two divi­sions to the deck in the fourth. A Vazquez left hook to the liv­er end­ed it for Son­sona at the 2:01 mark. He did not beat the count of ref­er­ee Luis Pabon.
