Hotel open­ing marks Hyatt’s return to Puer­to Rico

Hyatt Hotels Cor­po­ra­tion (NYSE: H) today announced the open­ing of Hyatt Place Baya­mon in Baya­mon, Puer­to Rico. The hotel’s open­ing marks the first Hyatt Place hotel to enter the Caribbean mar­ket and the return of Hyatt-brand­ed hotels to Puer­to Rico after a sev­en-year absence.

In the Caribbean, a sec­ond Hyatt Place hotel in Man­ati, Puer­to Rico is sched­uled to open in 2014. Hyatt’s brand port­fo­lio in the Caribbean is rep­re­sent­ed with Hyatt Regency-brand­ed hotels and resorts in Trinidad and Aru­ba. Oth­er pre­vi­ous­ly announced hotels slat­ed to open in the next three years include Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Mon­tego Bay, Jamaica and Park Hyatt St. Kitts on the island of St. Kitts and Nevis.
