Don’t miss the inau­gur­al World Bas­ket­ball Fes­ti­val, an unprece­dent­ed four-day cel­e­bra­tion of the per­for­mance and cul­ture of bas­ket­ball fea­tur­ing the Nation­al Bas­ket­ball Teams from Brazil, Chi­na, France, Puer­to Rico and the Unit­ed States, in New York City from August 12–15.

The Fes­ti­val — host­ed by Nike, Jor­dan and Con­verse — will offi­cial­ly begin on August 12th at Radio City Music Hall with the Nike World Bas­ket­ball Fes­ti­val Tip-Off fea­tur­ing final­ists for the 2010 USA Bas­ket­ball Men’s World Cham­pi­onship Team. This show­case of inter­na­tion­al games will cul­mi­nate in a sur­prise musi­cal performance.

Train­ing and scrim­mages by some of the Nation­al Teams, as well as fan activ­i­ties and grass­roots bas­ket­ball, will be held at Ruck­er Park, August 13th and 14th. The Fes­ti­val will con­clude on August 15th with an inter­na­tion­al dou­ble­head­er, as part of the Glob­al Com­mu­ni­ty Cup, at Madi­son Square Gar­den: USA Bas­ket­ball will play France fol­lowed by Chi­na tak­ing on Puer­to Rico.
